Our Programs
From financial support to mentorship to gear access, we remove the barriers that keep girls from playing — and build the community that keeps them in the game.
01 / Scholarships
Supporting the next generation of players through financial awards and recognition. From Rising Star scholarships for ages 10–14 to Trailblazer scholarships for ages 15–19 named after hockey legends.
02 / Grants
WCHC grants help cover essential hockey-related expenses including registration fees, equipment, and travel support so more girls and young women of colour can access and stay in the game.
03 / Mentorship
Our mentorship program connects young players with women who've navigated similar challenges. It's about guidance, community, and knowing someone's in your corner.
04 / Sophie's Sisters
Sophie's Sisters is a special WCHC mentorship experience that brings girls of colour together for community, representation, and an unforgettable day centered around professional women's hockey.
05 / Community Events
Since 2022, WCHC has hosted 16 community meet-ups across Toronto, Vancouver, Brampton, Edmonton, and beyond — plus road trips to Ottawa/Montréal (16 girls) and Detroit (14 girls), and a moment we'll never forget: flying three players from the Kenya Ice Lions to join camp. Every gathering is about more than hockey. It's about belonging.
