Our Impact
Every scholarship, event, mentorship connection, and act of support is part of building a hockey community where women and girls of colour feel seen.
Who We Are
The Women of Colour Hockey Collective (WCHC) is a Canadian-based non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting and supporting women and girls of colour in hockey. Building on the foundation of Black Girl Hockey Club Canada, we provide a community where players feel seen, valued, and empowered.
Our work begins here in Canada, but our impact extends to the many communities of women of colour who contribute to the game across the world. We exist to create belonging, visibility, and opportunity at every level of hockey.
Real Stories
The impact of WCHC lives in the stories of the players, mentors, and families who have felt seen, supported, and changed by this community.

Donate or Partner
Every donation, partnership, and sponsorship helps remove barriers that keep women and girls of colour from fully accessing the game. Your support helps fund scholarships, mentorship, equipment, community events, and leadership pathways that change what feels possible.
Why We Exist
For women and girls of colour, hockey has long been a space where we are underrepresented, underfunded, and often unseen. The barriers aren't just about cost — they're about access, mentorship, community, and feeling like you belong on the ice.
WCHC exists to change that. We build the doors, the pathways, and the community that make hockey truly for everyone — regardless of skin colour, background, or bank account. Through scholarships, grants, mentorship, gear support, and community, we create visible pathways for women and girls of colour in hockey across Canada.
